Many of you are probably thinking that 2002’s Sam Raimi’s » Spider-Man » kickstarted the era of the Marvel hero in cinemas, which most recently culminated in » Spider-Man: No Way Home «. But there was a live-action Spider-Man in cinemas 25 years before that.
In 1977, » Spider-Man » was produced as a pilot for a subsequent TV series. In Germany, the film was even released in cinemas in 1978 , where it was of course not as successful as a certain film called “ Star Wars ” or the musical superhit “ Grease ”, which was also released that year. But more than half a million people bought a cinema ticket in this country at the time.
The focus of «Spider-Man» is of course Peter Parker ( Nicholas Hammond ), who works here as a photographer for the Daily Bugle, is bitten by a radioactive spider and develops superpowers. So our well-known story…
