» Rise Of The Footsoldier — Origins » tells the early story of soldier Tony Tucker ( Terry Stone ) who returns to Essex, England, in 1982 disillusioned and burned out from the Falklands War. Due to a lack of alternatives, he has to keep his head above water with jobs as a bouncer in a provincial disco and with small illegal activities.
His luck seems to change when Tony starts a security company with the hard- nosed Bernard O’Mahoney ( Vinnie Jones ). As part of their security and guard duties, the two can pursue their passion for brawls without restraint and even earn good money with it.
But then success goes to their heads. Alongside brutal gangster Pat Tate ( Craig Fairbrass ) and big dealer Craig Rolfe ( Roland Manookian ), they take over the local drug trade. A little later, Tony’s life threatens to get completely out of control. Which would eventually set him on the path towards the infamous Rettendon triple homicide in 1995…
