That’s what Van Helsing is all about
dr Gabriel Van Helsing ( Hugh Jackman ) hunts down supernatural phenomena on behalf of the Vatican. In doing so, he often puts his life in danger, but thanks to his training and a lot of unusual equipment, he is well prepared for all kinds of monsters. Having already met Mr. Hyde, the brutal, monstrous alter ego of Dr. Jekyll ( Stephen Fisher ) in Paris, Van Helsing is sent to gritty Transylvania.
Here he is supposed to support the Valerious siblings Anna ( Kate Beckinsale ) and Velkan ( Will Kemp ) in their fight against the sinister vampire count Dracula ( Richard Roxburgh ). Van Helsing must initially rely on Anna, since her brother has become an uncontrollable beast after a werewolf attack. But even Anna isn’t too keen on the idea of fighting side by side with a stranger…
