Even if serious issues are of course also dealt with in » Downton Abbey «, the cult series by Julian Fellowes and the accompanying film are of course one thing above all: wonderful escapes from reality, in which silver cutlery that is not perfectly polished on the banquet table is almost as dramatic as a real family quarrel, in which the daughter threatens to leave her noble family for a chauffeur.
