It’s crazy what came out of a small independent horror film like ” Saw “. The horror franchise now includes a whopping nine (!) parts. After trying in vain to give the series a fresh cell treatment with ” Saw: Spiral “, the best thing to do is to return to the origins. The first three “Saw” films are still worth seeing, although of course none of the sequels can hold a candle to the clever, mean-ass original by James Wan .
Today, March 16th, ” Saw III ” will be shown on Tele 5 at 11 p.m second “Saw” sequel runs without cuts, is disappointed. Because the scissors were already applied to the FSK 18 theatrical version of the shocker.
“Saw” fans know that if you want to experience the “Saw” flicks in their completely uncut glory, you have to orientate yourself more towards the Austrian neighbors. The same applies to “Saw III” – and the 100 percent uncut unrated version is also indexed.

That’s why the following applies: All versions of parts 3 to 7 that you can find in Germany (either at your trusted electronics retailer or at Amazon) are edited. “Saw”, “Saw II”, “Jigsaw” and “Saw: Spiral” made it through the FSK without cuts, although there is also a somewhat harder Director’s Cut from the first part. However, this has not been confiscated or is on the index.

That’s what “Saw III” is about
Jigsaw ( Tobin Bell ), the sneaky trapper with a pseudo-moral agenda, is still at large. But he suffers from cancer and has therefore already initiated the continuation of his works after his death: Jigsaw’s former victim Amanda ( Shawnee Smith ) should fix it. The inquisitive schoolgirl now has her journeyman’s exam in the house. To do this, she lets the doctor Dr. Kidnap Lynn Denlon ( Bahar Soomekh ) and take him to Jigsaw’s torture lab.
Lynn’s job is to keep the terminally ill cancer patient alive. As a small personal incentive, she is given a neck brace that reacts in direct connection with Jigsaw’s heartbeat. If the killer dies, so does Lynn. On the second front, Amanda gives embittered father Jeff ( Angus Macfadyen ) a chance to avenge his beloved son’s accidental death. Another game of life and death begins…
