If Jean-Claude Van Damme has proven anything over the past few years, it is that he is not only able to muster a lot of self-mockery, but also that he is a gifted actor. In addition to the series “ Jean-Claude Van Johnson ”, which can currently be streamed via Amazon Prime Video, “ The Bouncer ” also proves this fact. The actioner airs today, March 31, at 8:15 p.m. on Tele 5.

That’s what “The Bouncer” is about
Ex-bodyguard Lukas (Jean-Claude Van Damme) is pushed into a dangerous double life. Everything went according to plan for him: In order to be able to support himself and his daughter, Lukas works as a bouncer in a nightclub. On a Friday evening, however, his life is suddenly turned upside down when a drunk guest causes problems. When that guest loses control completely, Lukas becomes violent and inflicts a life-threatening head injury on him.
From now on, Lukas is forced to work in a strip club to avoid being discovered by the police. But the investigators from Interpol have long since found out about him. Instead of putting him under lock and key, they make him an offer he can’t refuse: Lukas should work as an informant. In return, he could go back to his daughter…
