Warning, this article contains spoilers regarding the fate of Samantha Morton’s alpha in the main series
According to several industry magazines, Samantha Morton has been signed to an episode of the six-part first season of Tales of the Walking Dead . Each episode of this series, announced for summer 2022, stands on its own and since Morton’s villain Alpha was killed by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in season ten, it’s safe to assume we’ll see a prequel story.

Already in the main series «The Walking Dead» there were flashbacks into the past of Alpha , the leader of the Whisperers. Wearing the skin of zombies on their faces, this group was able to move undetected among the hordes of the undead and even command them.

In addition to the anthology series «Tales of the Walking Dead», further spin-offs have already been announced. A series about Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) is being worked on, and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan are also to have their own offshoot series :
