In order to enjoy “ jerks .”, you have to be adept at it. The in-house production by Joyn and ProSieben has managed to increase the shame factor from season to season. «jerks.» goes where it hurts. This is exactly why the series with Christian Ulmen and Fahri Yardim in the leading roles is so immensely popular, because as a viewer you are beaten out of your own comfort zone in an equally sneaky and hilarious way.
After the fourth season was released by the streaming provider Joyn Plus+ and celebrated its free TV premiere on ProSieben in January 2022, there is now good news for all «jerks.» lovers: The shooting of the fifth season has begun , as Christian Ulmen recently announced via Instagram . In winter 2022, the ten new episodes will then be presented exclusively on Joyn PLUS+ before they are also broadcast on ProSieben.

This also includes the Christmas special «Gentleman’s Stitch» from 2020, which unfortunately was not broadcast on free TV and is an outrageously grandiose introduction to the fourth season (but not for the faint-hearted!). In «jerks.» the viewers can accompany Christian Ulmen and Fahri Yardim as they fail again and again in their everyday lives. The unfortunate thing is that 99 percent of the time, it’s their own fault. «jerk.» Season 5 will of course not change this unease-soaked recipe for success. However, it is said that the new season gives an insight into the past of the two chaotic anti-heroes for the first time.
In the fifth season, a kind of journey through the past, present and future of Christian Ulmen and Fahri Yardim takes place. As it should be, their paths will cross with many acquaintances from the last four seasons, which will of course also be joined by many new prominent faces. Filming is currently taking place in Potsdam and should last a good two months.
