Our video editor and Marvel expert Sebastian introduces you to more than a dozen MCU villains, some of whom have already been confirmed and, above all, are still possible and conceivable in the video, which we could see in the near future.
In this article we want to introduce you to our top 3, there are even more baddies that we may soon encounter in the MCU in the video!
3rd place: Gorr The God Butcher
Gorr The God Butcher, played by Christian Bale in Thor 4: Love And Thunder (planned theatrical release: July 6, 2022), has already been confirmed. And with this one, the cool and sonorous name says it all. Gorr wants to slaughter all the gods, which is why not only Thor ( Chris Hemsworth ) gets in his sights, but also Zeus ( Russell Crowe ). This villain is sure to be an event — especially in the personification of The Dark Knight star Christian Bale.
2nd place: MODOK
In «Ant-Man 3″ aka » Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania » (planned theatrical release: July 26, 2023) we see Jonathan Majors for the first time after his appearance in » Loki » as the new mega villain Kang The Conqueror. And of course he should be in this top list, but since we’ve already seen him, he’s not really a new villain. That could be another character rumored to be in Ant-Man 3 though: MODOK, a megalomaniac and giant head in a jar.
The speculations about MODOK are overturning. Bill Murray , who has confirmed his involvement in the film as a villain, was traded for it, as was MCU returnee Corey Stoll . Recently, however, there has always been alleged insider information that Marvel has comedy superstar Jim Carrey on board for this role and that after a brief appearance in «Ant-Man 3» he is said to be a very important figure in the future of the MCU .
1st place: Galactus
But we can probably expect a villain at some point in the future in the MCU that is really gigantic: the world destroyer and planet eater Galactus would be the perfect new mega-threat after Thanos, which could be teased little by little to show how he is slowly becoming more and more comes closer and closer.
The already unscheduled Fantastic Four movie from Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts would be the ideal time to bring Galactucs to the game for the first time. However, we can also well imagine that it will be brought into play in the «Captain Marvel» sequel » The Marvels » or another film with a very strong reference to space.
