We’re still waiting for the first trailer for » Thor 4: Love And Thunder » – but certainly not for long. After all, the promo campaign is already underway, which is evident from the fact that the action figure sets for the film are already being presented to retailers — and of course photos have quickly found their way online.
An action figure thus depicts villain Gorr (played by Christian Bale ) — all in white, barefoot and dressed in a robe. Also included in the set is a large sword, which the pack description describes as a «strange and terrifying weapon» that Gorr uses to «prevent anything from getting in his way.»
The complete action figure set, which also includes various variants of Thor ( Chris Hemsworth ), Valkyrie ( Tessa Thompson ), Jane Foster as a female Thor ( Natalie Portman ), Star Lord ( Chris Pratt ), and Groot, features on the side of the box also promo pictures of the film characters.
Here it has the impression that Gorr does not appear completely in white, but that his robe is sometimes a little darker. He mostly wears black in the comics.
It is also interesting that we see Thor in a rather casual outfit as the so-called «Ravager-Thor». This is how he dresses when he first flies through space with the Guardians. But later he will probably throw himself back into armor befitting a god. Jane Foster, who is also known to become Thor, also wears one.
Gorr attacks New Asgard
Incidentally, the enclosed product descriptions give a few more details about the content of the latest Marvel film. Then, a «dangerous new visitor» threatens the very existence of New Asgard, forcing Queen Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) to once again take up the sword to defend her people . The new dangerous visitor should of course be Gorr (Christian Bale), who has made it his mission to kill all the gods.
It remains to be seen whether Thor (Chris Hemsworth), who is wandering with the Guardians, will then rush to the rescue or perhaps embark on a revenge mission after Gorr is successful. And how does Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) fit into this story as the new Thor?
We also know at least a little bit about her thanks to the description of her action figure. Afterwards , Jane’s life changes when she «mysteriously comes into possession of the hammer Mjölnir» — and with it the power of Thor.
So in the movie she wields Mjölnir as seen in the photo here while Thor continues to fight Stormbreaker (see images above).
In the not so distant future, we will find out how it all looks in cinemas: Taika Waititi’s » Thor 4: Love And Thunder » starts on July 6, 2022. A trailer that should be released shortly will certainly give us a first impression.
