Within a very short time, video game fans have now received two adaptations of cult games that hardly anyone believed in in the meantime. And to top it all off, both are apparently also worth seeing: After “ Uncharted ” with Tom Holland recently provided a fun feeling of adventure in the cinemas, the first reviews of the “ Halo ” series produced by Steven Spielberg , among others, are at least halfway benevolent.
Now you can finally take a look at the series for yourself, because «Halo» is coming to us at the same time as the start on the US streaming service Paramount+. Paramount+ itself is only supposed to find its way to Germany in the course of the year (as an independent streaming service or as a supplement to the Sky subscription), but Sky is already using the upcoming Paramount partnership to show «Halo» in Germany right now — and that for subscribers of the Sky entertainment package without any additional costs:
The first episode of «Halo» can be accessed on Sky Ticket and Sky Q from today, March 24, 2022. The episodes appear there every week on Thursday mornings. They can also be seen on Sky Atlantic every Friday at 10:15 p.m. The first season has nine episodes in total, and a second season has already been ordered.

That’s what «Halo» is about
The «Halo» series is not a direct adaptation of any specific part of the extensive template. Instead, only its mythology is used, but its own story is told . However, the central conflict in the background remains the same: In the 26th century, a bitter war rages between the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) and the Covenant Alliance, a coalition of several alien races.
The fight for the UNSC is carried out primarily by the so-called Spartans, one led by the unscrupulous scientist Dr. Catherine Halsey ( Natascha McElhone ) genetically engineered force of super soldiers led by stoic Master Chief John-117 ( Pablo Schreiber). His blind obedience is a thing of the past, however, when he comes into contact with an ancient artifact on a distant planet after a Covenant massacre.
Plagued by disturbing memories, John-117 disobeys his orders and, together with young massacre survivor Kwan ( Yerin Ha ), sets out to uncover his past and the true intentions of the Covenant…
