It has been known for some time that a remake of the John Woo classic “ Face/Off ” is in development. When it was announced in February last year that «Godzilla Vs. Kong» and «The Guest» maker Adam Wingard would be taking over as director, it came as a real surprise. As you now also know, this is not a remake or reboot, but a direct sequel.
That Nicolas Cage and John Travolta will reprise their iconic roles of Castor Troy and Sean Archer is far from confirmed. While rumor has it that Nicolas Cage will be involved in the project, it’s not yet known who will ultimately star in the action film.

It remains to be seen whether Pedro Pascal’s wish will come true. Face/Off 2 is currently in a very early stage of development. Adam Wingard and screenwriter Simon Barrett are currently busy writing the script.
