Cherry (Tom Holland) is a young adult who drops out of college and enlists in the army to become a medic. After a deployment in Iraq, he returns home a celebrated war hero. But the disturbing experiences from the Middle East gnawed at his psyche. Even his great love Emily ( Ciara Bravo ) can’t prevent him from slipping into drug addiction to cope with his post-traumatic stress disorder.
His addiction eventually takes Cherry to the point of resorting to bank robberies to fund it. Of course that doesn’t go well in the long run and his relationship with Emily suffers as a result…
