At the end of “ Zack Snyder’s Justice League ”, the superhero Martian Manhunter ( Harry Lennix ), previously disguised as General Swanwick, reveals himself to Bruce Wayne aka Batman (Ben Affleck). However , the Martian Manhunter was only supposed to appear in an earlier scene in Zack Snyder’s Justice League , while the scene at the very end features another hero: Green Lantern.
Snyder already revealed this in the context of the original start of «Zack Snyder’s Justice League» in early 2021. At that time it was also known that the planned Green Lantern appearance had to give way because Studio Warner had plans with the character and therefore vetoed it . Subsequently, however, more details about the shot but then discarded scene with Green Lantern came to light.
Now, to mark the one-year anniversary of Zack Snyder’s Justice League (which also coincided with the film’s Netflix premiere ) , cast member Wayne T. Carr posted a picture of himself on Twitter showing what he would have looked like as the Green Lantern:
As early as April 2, 2021, concept artist Jojo Aquilar also posted a series of images on Twitter showing his designs for Green Lantern, the Martian Manhunter, Jared Leto’s Joker and Granny Goodness, who can be seen in some scenes as villain Darkseid’s co-star is, showed:

During an appearance at the so-called Justice Con in early 2021, director Zack Snyder also chatted a bit about how the filming of the Green Lantern scene went:
«I told him there was a chance the scene wouldn’t end up in the final film. We’re filming this in my driveway. He wasn’t entirely convinced that this was even meant seriously. He’s great and I spoke to him recently and he really liked the film. He was very happy for everyone and how well the film was received.”

In addition, Snyder revealed that Carr didn’t wear an actual costume during filming , but was given a CGI costume like fellow cast members Ray «Cyborg» Fisher (who incidentally introduced Carr and Snyder to each other) and Harry «Martian Manhunter» Lennix — because of the restrictions related to Corona.
