After it was announced at the end of March 2022 that Bruce Willis («Last Boy Scout») would end his career due to an aphasia disease that caused speech disorders, it was clear to the action star’s followers: one would become one last masterpiece from him iconic bald man no longer get to see. Instead, Bruce Willis signs off with a whole truckload of direct-to-DVD fare, which is now gradually being released in Germany as well.
One of his last films is the sci-fi prison action film » Corrective Measures «, for which we can present you the first trailer today. In contrast to deadbeats like «Apex», «Out Of Death» or «Deadlock», the first moving pictures here actually make you want to argue. If you believe the first impression, you’re dealing with a rather humorous genre bite that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
This is «Corrective Measures»
The action takes place in San Tiburon, a so-called «Ubermax» prison in the northwestern United States. But this is not populated with conventional hardened criminals, instead monsters, cyborgs and lots of super villains are behind bars. These are kept in check by 24-hour energy inhibitors and shock collars.
However, San Tiburon’s sadistic warden, Warden Devlin («Guardians of the Galaxy» and «The Suicide Squad» star Michael Rooker ), is just as cunning as the inmates. His only interest is getting his hands on the untraceable fortune of Julius Loeb (Bruce Willis). But Julius Lobe, who is also in San Tiburon, is not only the most notorious prisoner there, but also a super genius and not at all willing to part with his wealth.
Lots of chaos behind bars
With «Corrective Measures», director Sean O’Reilly could provide a small surprise in Bruce Willis’ last — to put it mildly — extremely mixed late work. The main reason for this, however, is Michael Rooker, who already shows his wonderfully sardonic charm in the trailer and will certainly take over the film effortlessly. Dan Payne («Watchmen»), Brennan Mejia («Power Rangers»), Hayley Sales («Deadpool 2») and Tom Cavanagh («The Flash») are allowed to cause further chaos .
It is not yet known when «Corrective Mesaures» will be released in Germany. In the USA, however, the film will be released on Tubi on April 29, 2022. This is an ad-supported streaming service owned by Fox Corporation.
