» Upload » takes place in the year 2033 in a virtual reality of the afterlife. The consciousness of the dying can be uploaded to this either at their own request or that of their relatives. In the case of the accident victim Nathan ( Robbie Amell ), his slightly over the top girlfriend Ingrid ( Allegra Edwards ) has taken over the matter for him. Luckily, there’s customer service rep Nora ( Andy Allo ) to help a confused Nathan adjust to his rather strange afterlife at the luxury resort of Lakeview.
In Season 2, Nathan faces a difficult decision. Ingrid unexpectedly allowed herself to be uploaded to Lakeview as well. She hopes that this will continue her relationship with Nathan indefinitely. However, his heart now beats for the equally enchanting and clever Nora. But she is currently in hiding and has gotten involved with an anti-tech protest group. After all this time she has developed serious doubts about the moral integrity of the program and her employer…

Upload was invented by The Office, Parks And Recreation, and Space Force mastermind Greg Daniels . The New Yorker continues to serve as executive producer during the second season of the hit format.
All of the key cast members are back for the new episodes, led by Robbie Amell (Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City, The Flash) and Andy Allo (Chicago Fire). Also joining the cast are Allegra Edwards (“Briarpatch”), stand-up comedian Zainab Johnson (last seen opposite Nicolas Cage in the Netflix docu-series The Tale of Swear Words), and Kevin Bigley (“The Witch Next Door”). Josh Banday («Pam & Tommy»), who appeared occasionally in the premiere season as Nora’s colleague Ivan, is now a permanent member of the cast.
