John P. Fleenor / Netflix
Mike Judge (Silicon Valley) and Greg Daniels (Space Force) are making a Netflix series based on the cult card game Exploding Kittens. The cast for the animated series has already been finalized. In addition to «Lucifer» star Tom Ellis and Lucy Liu («Elementary»), Abraham Lim («The Boys»), Ally Maki («Not Home Alone Again»), Mark Proksch («What We Do in the Shadows») and Sasheer Zamata («Muppets Haunted Mansion») gave the characters their voices.
«Exploding Kittens»: The fight of heaven against hell
The focus of the series adaptation is the fight between heaven and hell. Both God and the devil end up on earth for the final battle. But both end up in the bodies of big, fat, and snuggly house cats…

Which role, which star speaks, is not known. Of course it would make sense if Tom Ellis played the devil again after » Lucifer «.
«Exploding Kittens»: A Netflix mobile game
What we do know, however, is that Exploding Kittens will be a Netflix premiere . Because for the first time, the streamer is developing a video game and a series for a franchise in parallel.
While the Exploding Kittens series isn’t scheduled for release until 2023, there will be a game to go with it as early as May 2022 — in the Netflix app itself.
There you should be able to play the «Exploding Kittens» mobile game on your cell phone. The video game is probably based on the cult card game that was originally financed via Kickstarter, has long been a global mega hit and serves as a template. Here, too, players must draw cards and avoid being hit by the eponymous exploding cat.

The video game will be available in both single and multiplayer modes and will be closely linked to the series. Not only should cards be fed from the characters of the series, but certain game mechanics should also be influenced by the animated series. It will be exclusively playable on mobile only.
For Netflix, the game is another step in becoming the entertainment platform par excellence. Those responsible for the streaming service have in mind that users will spend more and more time on the platform or in the apps, not only binge series and films or consume reality and quiz formats there, but will soon also stay on Netflix to play games , instead of switching to another mobile app or to the game console.
