After their success with the mega hit ” Game Of Thrones “, the authors David Benioff and DB Weiss were supposed to be developing a new “Star Wars” trilogy. But Netflix stepped in and struck a $250 million deal with the “GoT” duo. In return, Benioff and Weiss will produce films and series for the streaming service for five years.
The first result could already be seen in the summer of 2021, when ” The Professor ” was the first series to emerge from this deal on Netflix. The first Netflix film to be produced by David Benioff and DB Weiss is now being released with the music comedy “ Metal Lords ”. Weiss also wrote the screenplay himself.

Teenager Kevin (“ES” star Jaeden Martell ), an outsider at his school, is passionate about drums and has a penchant for the metal genre. Together with his friend and guitarist Hunter ( Adrian Greensmith ) he wants to take part in the school band competition “Battle Of The Bands”. The problem: You still need someone who can play the bass and there is nobody in the whole school who can. Only Emily ( Isis Hainsworth ) would like to, but unfortunately she is a cello player.
Kevin, who sees more in Emily than just a musician, is committed to allowing her to take part anyway. But Hunter sees the integrity of the band in jeopardy if they suddenly perform with a cellist. Will the trio still get together or will Kevin end up having to choose between Emily and Hunter?
