Warhunt is set in 1945, during World War II. US Major Johnson ( Mickey Rourke ) sends a squad of his best men led by Brewer ( Robert Knepper ) and Walsh ( Jackson Rathbone ) behind enemy lines, deep into the Black Forest. Your secret mission is to find a crashed Allied plane and recover the film reels hidden on board and other sensitive materials essential to defeating the Nazis before the Germans get their hands on them.
At first everything goes according to plan. In the thicket of trees, however, the Americans came across the corpses of Wehrmacht soldiers, horribly mauled and decorated with mysterious symbols, hanging upside down from the branches. Suddenly their compasses also fail, the men lose their bearings and finally have to fight for their lives when they are attacked by a supernatural force. What the hell is going on in here?

«Warhunt» will start in North America on January 21, 2022 in selected cinemas and as video-on-demand. In Germany, the film will be released directly for home cinema on April 29th.

And if the scenario described above and the trailer should at least superficially remind you of another title, you probably have the turbulent 2018 theatrical release «Operation: Overlord» with «Game Of Thrones» and «Ghost In The Shell» star Pilou, among others Asbæk as the mean top Nazi in the back of your mind. The indie shocker, which was not shot in Baden-Württemberg but in the forests of Latvia, is directed and screenplayed by Mauro Borrelli («The Recall»), who as a concept artist and illustrator has already worked on mega blockbusters such as «Captain America», «Star Wars » or «Pirates of the Caribbean 4».
The main roles are played by Robert Knepper, best known from the series hit «Prison Break», Jackson Rathbone («Twilight») as well as «Sin City», «Iron Man 2» and «The Wrestler» star Mickey Rourke.
