Netflix
The daily top 10 on Netflix has long been a well-established feature. Many Netflix users* look there what the rest of the country is watching on the streaming platform and are inspired by it. But for some time now there have also been other top 10 lists on an extra external page. And among them are the most watched series overall on Netflix. And this is where “ Inventing Anna ” can now be placed.
In the latest top 10 list, which includes Netflix consumption up to and including Sunday, March 6, 2022, “Inventing Anna” is included in the so-called all-time ranking for the first time. Netflix distinguishes between “English” and “Non-English” in these lists. In the English-language series, “Inventing Anna” is now in 6th place. Since, in our opinion, the division into English and non-English series makes little sense, we quickly put together an overall top 10. Also in this “Inventing Anna” is represented for the first time, in 9th place. Here is the whole list:
1. Squid Game : 1.65 billion hours
2. Bridgerton : 625.5 million hours
3. Money Heist – Season 4 : 619 million hours
4. Stranger Things – Season 3 : 582.1 million hours
5. All Of Us Are Dead : 560.8 million hours
6. The Witcher – Season 1 : 541 million hours
7. Dead Girls Don’t Lie – Season 2 : 496.1 million hours
8. The Witcher – Season 2 : 484.3 million hours
9. Inventing Anna : 481.7 million hours
10.Dead Girls Don’t Lie – Season 1 : 475.6 million hours
The mini-series “ Maid ” dropped out of the top 10, having previously ranked tenth with 469.1 million hours, just ahead of the third season “You” (467.8 million hours).
For the list, Netflix simply adds up how many minutes and hours were watched – regardless of whether the series was canceled in the middle or repeated several times.
The list is generally referred to as the all-time top 10, which is not entirely true. For better comparability, only the first 28 days, i.e. the first four weeks, are counted.
How far does “Inventing Anna” climb?
Inventing Anna is now nearing the end of that 28-day cycle. Only the numbers from Monday, March 7th, until tomorrow, Thursday, March 10th, are included in the overall calculation. One thing is certain: The eighth-placed second season “The Witcher” will be overtaken (or has already been overtaken). The second season of “Tote girls don’t lie” in seventh place is also within reach, although in our opinion it is not certain that it will be overtaken.
Last week “Inventing Anna” was able to collect around 77.6 million hours. So you could now think that this means around 11 million hours a day and that “Inventing Anna” should therefore easily close the gap of not even 15 million to “Tote Mädchen liegen nicht” in four days. Since many people are now through with the series, the numbers are going down significantly. The 77.6 million hours are around 40% lower than the result in the previous week. We also assume that the numbers will be significantly stronger at the weekend, but now only Monday to Thursday are included in the overall calculation. According to our forecast, it will therefore be tight whether “Inventing Anna” can also advance to place 7.
