Just a few days ago, the author of this article was drawn to the cinema to experience “ The Batman ” a second time on the big screen – after all, the three-hour superhero epic started in cinemas on March 3rd, just six ago weeks, and can therefore still be found in the regular programs of various cinemas. Nothing unusual. The fact that the film is now available to take at home is even more special.
The advance of the streaming platforms was accelerated by the corona pandemic, so that today we are increasingly getting some of the biggest cinema hits delivered to our homes after a short time. Most recent example: Robert Pattinson ‘s first appearance as the Dark Knight: «The Batman» is available to stream now for purchase:
» «The Batman» on Amazon Prime Video *
You can now purchase the film digitally from streaming providers such as Amazon Prime Video and enjoy it in your own four walls as often as you want. If you prefer to put the film on your shelf, you’ll have to be patient. «The Batman» will not be released on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray until June 2 — including as a limited edition steel book:
» «The Batman» on DVD, Blu-ray and in 4K at Amazon *
» «The Batman» steel book edition at MediaMarkt *
» «The Batman» steel book edition at Saturn *
At the same time as the DVDs and Blu-rays, the film will probably also be available as a stream for rent.
«The Batman»: From the box office hit in the cinema to the bestseller in the home cinema?
With worldwide box office earnings of well over 700 million dollars, «The Batman» is the most successful cinema film released in 2022 to date — by a mile ahead (rank 2 is currently held by » Uncharted » with over 380 million dollars). And one or the other dollar will probably be added, because even after the start of streaming, the love of the cinema experience should still draw some film fans to the cinemas. Nevertheless, the signs are good that «The Batman» will continue its successful run on the home video and streaming market.
