“ There Are No Saints ” is about a tough guy who everyone only knows as “The Jesuit” ( José María Yazpik ). The former cartel enforcer spent years in prison for a crime he did not commit. Now, to make matters worse, his wife was murdered and his son kidnapped to Mexico.
The man then forges a complex plan in the course of which he wants to free the boy and at the same time take revenge on his wife’s killers. However, without allies and people he truly trusts, despite his superior hand-to-hand combat and hand-to-hand combat skills, this seems a potentially suicidal endeavor…
Tough neo-western with «Sons Of Anarchy» and «Band Of Brothers» stars: Trailer for the action thriller «Boon»
In the trailer, «There Are No Saints» is reminiscent of the «John Wick» series in terms of staging and atmosphere. The action thriller will start in selected cinemas in the USA on May 27, 2022 and will also be available there as video-on-demand. However, there is currently no information regarding a release in Germany.

The thriller is directed by Demon Inside director Alfonso Pineda Ulloa , while Mexican star José Maria Yazpik (Narcos: Mexico, Abel) plays the lonely avenger. The screenplay is by Taxi Driver, City Hall and Raging Bull writer Paul Schrader .
Incidentally, Schrader’s latest work as a director, the highly acclaimed » The Card Counter » with «Dune» and «Star Wars» hero Oscar Isaac, is currently still showing in a few cinemas in Germany. In addition to Yazpik, a whole series of well-known actors appeared in front of the camera for «There Are No Saints». The two «Sons Of Anarchy» stars Ron Perlman and Tommy Flanagan are there, as is Tim Roth («Pulp Fiction», «Reservoir Dogs»). Also starring are Shannyn Sossamon («Knight’s Tale»), Spanglish star Paz Vega , Band Of Brothers’ Neal McDonough and The Americans main cast member Keidrich Sellati for all six seasons experience.
