Sometimes, however, warnings are more objective, as is now the case with The Darkest Minds , the film adaptation of Book 1 of the Survivor trilogy, because there is another, very solid reason to get the save movie.
“The Darkest Minds” is the prelude to a trilogy that will never be completed
ProSieben is showing “The Darkest Minds – The Survivors” on March 18 from 8:15 p.m. Unfortunately, if you watch the sci-fi film about a group of super-able kids in a dystopian world, you won’t get the full story.
It should have been continued in a second and third film, but “The Darkest Minds – The Survivors” only grossed a miserable 41 million US dollars worldwide when it was released in 2018, making it a big flop and taking all plans for sequels to the grave. Thus “The Darkest Minds – The Survivors” had the same fate as before, among other things, ” The Underworld Chronicles “, ” Beautiful Creatures ” and finally also the unfinished ” Divergent ” series.
