In Sacrifice , Isaac ( Ludovic Hughes ) returns after many years in the United States to the small island off the coast of Norway where he was born and raised. The trip together with his heavily pregnant wife Emma ( Sophie Stevens ) is not a holiday trip. Because Isaac’s mother has passed away and he wants to sell a house that the family has owned for ages, which he has now inherited.
The local population reacts suspiciously and dismissively to the strangers. Only policewoman Renate ( Barbara Crampton ) is open to them and invites them to dinner. There, Isaac and Emma not only meet Renate’s mute daughter ( Johanna Adde Dahl ), who seems strangely fascinated by the young man. They are also invited to a religious ceremony, which seems to drive a wedge between the couple. In any case, Isaac distances himself more and more from Emma, who is getting more and more frightened…

Andy Collier and Tor Mian will direct Sacrifice . The duo previously directed the serial killer thriller Charismata together and are currently in pre-production on their next project, Perpetual. Collier and Mian also served as producers on Sacrifice, and co-wrote the screenplay, based on horror writer Paul Kane ‘s short story Men Of The Cloth.
