When “Fantasy Island” opened in German cinemas in 2020, it was only enough for just 120,000 viewers – on Netflix, however, the cinema adaptation of a cult TV series in Germany immediately made it to the top of the Netflix Top 10 (and that’s ahead of Netflix’s brand new, star-studded original The Bubble ). The cell phone app shocker “Countdown” (at least 260,000 cinemagoers, but then quickly forgotten) is only three places behind it between “ Zack Snyder’s Justice League ” and the Netflix original “ The Adam Project ” with Ryan Reynolds .
