Next Movies / Netflix
365 Days is not only one of the most controversial Netflix films of all time, but also one of the most successful. The story of Laura (Anna Maria Sieklucka), who falls for Mafioso Massimo (Michele Morrone), is strongly reminiscent of «Fifty Shades Of Gray» — with the difference that the Polish love drama is much more revealing and toxic. The concept was well received by the public: The film adaptation of Blanka Lipińska’s novel became an absolute megahit in 2020. No wonder the streaming giant then went straight to the (first) sequel, which is about to premiere: » 365 Days 2: This Day » starts on April 27th on Netflix.
Already available, namely since April 6th, is the action thriller » Furioza «, which is currently quietly and secretly climbing the local Netflix charts — and even without a German dubbed version! What do 365 Days and Furioza have in common? Both cases are streaming hits from Poland, which may have contributed to Netflix now investing more in productions from our neighboring country.
In concrete terms, this means that Netflix has now announced 18 (!) Polish film and series productions that should land on the platform in the next few months.
Poland offensive on Netflix: That awaits you
After the streaming giant recently announced that it had already invested more than 100 million euros in Polish in-house productions and thus created more than 2,600 jobs, the announcement of a major Polish film and series offensive follows. In addition, the capital city of Warsaw was only recently announced as a new, important location for in-house productions from Central and Eastern Europe.
