The Texan rancher Bill Greer ( Frank Grillo ) lives in » No Man’s Land » with his family right on the Rio Grande, the river border with Mexico. He sees the constant flow of illegal immigrants as a major threat. Since he doesn’t think the US authorities are doing enough, he takes it into his own hands to stop it. Greer patrols the fences of his property daily with his son Jackson ( Jake Allyn ), gun drawn. When they confront a group of immigrants, Jackson accidentally shoots a teenager.
While Bill tries to explain to the cops that he is the culprit, his son flees headlong south. Now an “illegal” himself, he has to go into hiding before the Mexican federal police, who want to extradite him to the United States. On his way to seek forgiveness from the dead boy ‘s father ( Jorge A. Jiménez ), Jackson falls more and more in love with the country and people he was taught to hate…

The politically topical thriller drama is enriched with some clearly recognizable, classic western elements and was shot in summer 2019. All of the locations were found in and around the historic cities of San Luis de la Paz and San Miguel de Allende in the state of Guanajuato in central Mexico.
